Excellent, I been searching this thriller for years! Thank you so much!

Saw it 25 years ago, something like that. I’ve seen it many times (last year on an Arrow Blu-ray). I’ll always consider it one of the top 10 best thriller of all time. Do yourself a favor, watch it and then buy it on Blu-ray.

This film is a true undiscovered gem for any film lover. It has action, dark humor and moments of great suspense and tension. The three actors blend perfectly: Harley Cross is great (this is one of those rare times in which a child actor stands tall with two professionals and almost steals the picture at several scenes). Roy Scheider here has one of his last important roles (after this he was always cast in supporting roles until his death) and is absolutely perfect, and Adam Baldwin truly shines in his best work ever.

This is a great story, lean and somber, but also very exciting. Eric Red is better known as a screenwriter and not so much as a director (this is his first full-length directed film, which he also wrote), but believe me, this is his best film in every way, and really deserves to be watched again by the whole world.

    Thanks so much RL.

Wow, this sounds great… shades of Walter Hill and Peckinpah, I guess. I remember seeing this cover on VHS but have never seen the film… exactly the kind of thing I love discovering on RL! Thanks for the great review.

Yeeeesss!! The ending of this movie is one of the most hard-boiled, raw i ever witnessed in the cop-thriller genre. Great little gem of a movie. Thanks a lot
