This “director’s cut” is actually a censored version to achieve a PG-13 rating for DVD release in 2004 – three scenes have violence/gore footage edited out and replaced with insert shots of bystander reactions to retain the same overall running time. The uncut version was originally available on VHS and cable TV. Also goes by the title “Mutronics” in Europe. Looks like there are a couple German Blu-ray releases of the uncut film. I have not found the uncut film available for download.
