What a total classic! Thank you!
It’s hard to choose a favorite Peter Lorre performance. I narrowed it down to M, THE MALTESE FALCON, THE FACE BEHIND THE MASK, and THE RAVEN. Personally, this ranks first. The others are classics for a number of reasons but FACE is a tour de force little b picture with Lorre undergoing a range of personality changes while still remaining an empathetic character. Many touching scenes here between Lorre and Evelyn Keyes. Love this one, thanks RL.
