For 20 years I have been waiting for a restoration of “Identikit” aka “The Driver’s Seat,” this spooky, atmospheric oddball film is the strangest, most extreme film Elizabeth Taylor ever did, and the cameo appearance of Andy Warhol compliments the weirdness of this production. This was one of those ‘Public Domain” titles, so all dvd prints were mere copies of old VHS tapes; really awful. This restoration is gorgeous, and Rome has never looked so sinister…
