It is surreal watching these films in hi-def widescreen with the original language, after so many years of knowing them only through grainy, murky, washed out third generation VHS tapes, with half the picture cropped out and the actors sounding like cartoon characters. Films like “Special Silencers” can finally be recognized for their artistic qualities and it’s surprising to see just how technically well made they are. For us action fans who were into the more obscure stuff, Barry Prima was the Man. Now we can finally hear his real voice! Let’s hope “Three Headed Monster” aka “The Ginseng King” someday gets the hi-def treatment.
