I have an MKV file of this film that runs 1:55:13 minutes and is 1920×816. That file is only a bit over 2gb in size.
It would be nice to hear the commentary track, but a file with virtually the same video resolution but almost 5 times the size at 9.75gb is just way too large to be worthwhile.

i personally download the maximum size if i want to watch anything worthwhile
Would it be possible to make 4K UHD transfers to .mkv as upgrades, in that case, where such exist, say with films like Invisible Maniac or Vertigo? Or would one such download exceed the tezfile daily limit?
like to keep it under 10GB looks good on my tv ..

So far from reality — the actual ‘battle’ was in a foot of snow, lasted nearly 8 hours and several soldiers were killed. A slaughter, yes… a massacre no. Dog soldiers were Cheyenne warriors Black Kettle could not control. They would kill all summer and come live with the tribe in winter. Black Kettle refused to give them up to the Colorado Volunteers. Hence the attack.
Chivington’s volunteers were raised specifically due to an incident where the Hungates, a pioneer family including children, was murdered and mutilated and the women raped by the Dog Soldiers.
The bodies were brought back to Denver and the sight of them galvanized the settlers into taking action.

Although the true 135 minute “uncut” version is probably lost forever, this is still a fantastic Western. I wonder if the studio destroyed those infamous cut scenes..
