At 4:28 in the YouTube video, Eddie spoke about Romance in Paris. He said there’s not much to talk about. At that time, he was 21 years old. The shooting of the film took place during the daytime. At night, when they had nothing to do, Eddie, Hung Wei, and another male actor would pass the time by playing a card game called 13 in the hotel room. Hung Wei was not very good at the game and kept losing to the other two. One time, Hung Wei held a good hand, but because he didn’t know what he was doing, the other two ganged up on him, and therefore Hung Wei lost and had to pay up. Hung Wei then got mad and didn’t want to play anymore. After winning and being bored with nothing to do, they decided to go to a disco club. This was during either Christmas or New Year’s time. Once they got to the disco club, they sat at a table. Not far across from their table, they saw a pretty French girl sitting alone. They then whispered among themselves, and Eddie decided he wasn’t shy to approach the girl and invite her to dance with him. He thought, at that time, I am a 21-year-old yellow-skinned kid walking over to a French girl. But before he even got a chance to go over to her, she quickly realized what was about to happen and decided to walk away. Eddie told the girl, “Hey, I just wanted to come over and tell you Merry Christmas.” The girl responded, “Okay, Merry Christmas.” So he went back to his table with the other two, feeling stupid.
