Description: Edwin Antony (Hywel Bennett) is emasculated in an accident which kills a young philanderer. Doctors successfully replace his member with that of the dead man, but refuse to tell him the full story of the organ’s origin. So Edwin begins a search which takes him to the philanderer’s wife – and also to his many, many girlfriends.

When Australia introduced an R 18+ rating in 1971, after decades of extreme censorship and a virtually non-existent film industry, Percy was the first imported film to get the new R rating! I think maybe McCabe and Mrs Miller was the first film to hit a screen with an R rating, but Percy got rated first . . . our ’70s drive in screens would then be deluged with exploitative goodness, including a lot of home grown stuff (retro-dubbed “Ozploitation” but which was just exciting and fun at the time) which has now gained cult status.
