The film was shot on USD 35k! With an unknown Robert De Niro. Jokes on how to avoid the Vietnam draft made this sought after at the time, but the line between joke and serious is thin. Thanks RL.
I’ve been through most of your movies now, and for no really good reason I get sad at the ones with no comments. That doesn’t mean they’re unappreciated. This for example is brilliant. No real linear plot and plenty of contemporary sexism/racism/homophobia , naturalistic acting and social coment. Bit of a time capsule – as I suppose all movies are. Just a bit or a rare one in this case. Favourite scene is whrere the guy’s reading a magazine amd marking off JFK’s bullet wounds with a marker pen on his naked female friend’s body!! What’s not to like.
