FYI, in case anyone cares… this movie is, in fact, ridiculously cheesy, but… the novel it was based on, by Scott Spencer, is a beautiful book. As soon as the casting was announced and Brooke Shields was cast as Jade, I could tell they completely missed the point. It’s a very forgettable flick, but the book will stay with you forever.
