  1. Mr Arkadin says:

Thanks for the upgrade – I’m a sucker (pun intended) for any vampire movie and this one has such a great cast: Laurence Olivier – possibly the greatest actor of all time, and Donald Pleasence – the greatest Bond villain. Love the Re-Vamped pun in the extras as well. Good one.

  2. Stock says:

Frank came out with a very interesting memoir a few years back. Definitely worth a look.

  3. Tony says:

This was the first Dracula flick I saw as a kid, watching on cable. It was still creepy, but as much as Salem’s Lot which I saw around the same time. Thanks for the extras. I wonder if the desaturated color was something Badham wanted originally.

    • Christopher Seay says:

It could be. I know the play that Frank Langella starred in used black and white set design, where the reds were very vibrant to stand out against the monochromatic surroundings. I am guessing that the desaturation was to emulate the play. I personally like it, but I like the full color version as well. I am happy that we finally have both versions to choose from.
