It may be a minor miracle this movie still exists at all! I’m not sure about all this, but I believe the original master was lost forever due to a flood or fire or something like that. For many years this movie was believed permanently lost. The copy that now survives was found by accident in a discarded box on unlabelled video tape at the former production offices and was not known to have existed prior to being found. Of lesser video quality than the original master, it is all that remains and was subsequently restored as best possible for DVD release.
I think that’s the story, if anyone has corrections, please add them.

Looked for this movie for years. Found a dvd of it recently. Still an excellent post though.
This brings back some old memories of seeing this when it played on the Wonderful World of Disney Sunday Night way back in the late 1970’s. Thanks for this.
