Deliberate, well-paced character study. Perlman is consistent & resolute, Bisset plays against type and Dreyfuss practically phones it in. Janssen is brittle & serviceable, but ultimately forgettable. Great template for any aging worker who has to realize that his/her career is beginning to slip away.
