This one is a quite rare instance of a mix between a fantasy / sword and sorcery movie and a plain Jim Carrey-style comedy. At times so bad I thought to myself that Uwe Boll could have made it… at times quite brilliant with surprisingly good creative ideas!
It’s mainly a collection of purely gratuitous scenes that are only loosely connected (entire parts of the movie could be removed without any coherence issue, like the windmill one, for instance).
Still, it’s quite fun to watch (a bit the “so bad it’s funny” kind of fun, but still), the image is crisp, lighting is really good, and there are loads of interesting CGI uses (think Willow). Sometimes boring, sometimes epic. Interesting.
You need to add Comedy as a genre here. I mean, come on. And Fantasy too.
