Wow, what a find.
The director of the original movie regarded Absurd (1981, available on this site) as a kind of spiritual sequel.
There is also a remake of the first movie, called Anthropophagous 2000
tt0202233 on imdb.
Reminds the environment of Alien 3 (David Fincher) hunted by the beast in the exoplanet underground prison, but the wide angle lens cinematography made it so scary not a single drop of blood was necessary.
