The rumor says when the producer Dino De Laurentiis showed that movie in LA for a possible American distribution, he was asked why he didn’t hire the best Italian actors for such funny movie. Like Alberto Sordi, Ugo Tognazzi, Nino Manfredi or even Marcello Mastroianni. Ironically, the director Eldar Ryazanov wanted them in a first place!
