To me, this seems a sort of predecessor to Lolita, before the time when “12”-year-olds were presented as sexual prey, only Kubrick turned to expose paedophilia as the abomination that it is, while Baum&Vadim&Allegrét find it something to promote. Well, in this case the girls are above the minimum age of consent, but it’s still tacky and points to an even worse future. “Good” film, though, if degenerate. In any case I wouldn’t have wanted to miss it to see what these people were up to with this film, so thanks RL!
