A masterpiece as much as the first film. One of the first slasher era horror movies I saw. Scary, tremendously well written and Perkins is able to balance the duality of his character with finesse. Psycho III is also worth your time.
“A masterpiece as much as the first film” – that is a stretch but Perkins is always brilliant.
one on of the best movie sequels going.thanks rarelust
The first commentary is with screenwriter Tom Holland with “Psycho Legacy” author Rob Galluzzo. As for the second, I’m very confused as to what it is and what source it comes from since none of the Blu-rays out shows another commentary. It sound like a making-of documentary audio.
2nd commentary

Thanks. Just found that info. on the DVDCompare page for it. As they say, “Vintage audio interviews with Anthony Perkins, Vera Miles, Janet Leigh, Richard Franklin and Alfred Hitchcock”. Unfortunately, it’s only for the “first fifteen minutes, then the track goes back to the film’s 2.0 stereo mix”.
I thought Rob Ager would comment this film, but it seems it must be on a different release, then. Would probably be worth to shop around for.
