A slasher movie and a pure one. A few minutes into the film and we know what’s it about, we can’t even call it “predictable”, because the films purpose is clear: Every other minute another character is done for. The trigger: An inheritance. No need for story, fancy dialogues or character introduction. “A Bay of Blood” may be a slasher classic, but from today’s point of view it is rather boring (I wouldn’t call it lame). The double-twist at the end is about the only original and rather shocking moment. I’d recommend this Bava flick for the early 1970s style-nostalgia only.
Thanks for sharing.
Upscaled as in… the people who put out the Blu-ray did the upscale? Or upscaled as in… some random Joe did the upscale from a DVD?
its K!no L@rber bluray
The prototype for the slasher film is my favorite Bava by far. Tim Lucas commentary is a great bonus.
