See if you can get a copy of the British Blu-ray released by Arrow. They have the original Italian version with the original music score on their release.

Black Sunday is the grand-daddy of all modern gothic horror tropes.

The “goth” look from then on was taken from this movie.
“Old Creepy Castle” was a thing from way back, but this movie put an aesthetic on it that influenced filmmakers from then on.

Barbara Steele is the embodiment of goth beauty and the dark femme fatale.

The brutality by 1960 standards was shocking, and set the standard for Italian horror with eroticism, violence, beauty, and religious horror.

Anyone who likes spooky, must see this.
