There wasn’t a Part 2. Mel Brooks never intended to make a Part 2. The title comes from taking the mick out of the sequels, and sequels of sequels that were beginning to be churned out at that time. (Eg. Star Wars and Superman to name just two).
Just to hear Bea Arthur go “full-MAUDE-unrestricted-by-TV!!” on this movie just makes my day (her MOUTH!! HA!!). Thank You, Rarelust—and THANK YOU, Mel Brooks.
