  1. Muff Diver says:

Thanks for all these extra features, RL.

I’ve also own a DVD of this film and it’s the same length as the uncut version you offer.

What I don’t understand is how the cut version of this film is 5 mins longer than the uncut. Usually, the edited versions will be the shorter film. How is this possible? Is that a typo?

I’m really liking the addition of all these extra features of late. Thanks!

the uncensored Original version (90:07) and the Television version (95:07).

      • Jesse Baker says:

It’s a common thing, in the 80s and 90s, that if a film had to be edited/censored for TV, that the producers try and make up for the loss material by inserting in deleted scenes to balance out the run time and provide fans a reason to watch the TV version.

    It’s sad.

    Uncut and Phoebe Cates
    Thanks RL

  4. Tony says:

Also recall the VHS I had had a different soundtrack from the theatrical, so wonder if this has different music, too.

  5. Tony says:

One of the absolute best movies of all time. I don’t think I’ve ever seen the TV cut and I’m such a sucker for those alternate versions. Excited about the extras, too. Amazing! Phoebe Cates forever.
